Ribchester plays host to regular events as part of its annual festivities calendar. The community also organises other one-off events to celebrate, fundraise or improve our village.
Field Day [ Saturday 17th June]
The highlight of the Village's annual calendar and an event that is enjoyed by the whole village. Ribchester Field Day incorporates a parade along Blackburn Road and Water Street - with decorated floats, fancy dress and much more including, of course, the Field Day Queen and her retinue. The parade ends with an afternoon of celebration and fun on the Playing Field.
The annual market takes place on the last Monday in May. It is the perfect time for a family day out with opportunity to discover and shop at many local market stalls.
This monthly market is held at the Sports and Social Club on the first Saturday of the month between February and December from 10am to 2pm. Further dertails are available from Andrew Wallin (01254 820678).
